On March 13–14, students from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics participated in the EU Code Week Hackathons “Hello, Future: Technical Solutions for a Changing World!”—an online event aimed at developing digital skills, innovative thinking, and teamwork among young people.
Our team was represented by creative and ambitious students: Karina Fenenko (Class 411), Maria Pigul (Class 511), Oleksandr Babichev (Class 413), and Viktoria Gariacha (Class 423). Working side by side, they developed innovative ideas that could change the future.
Over the course of two days, the students participated in an intensive program focused on applying the latest technologies to various areas of life. On the first day, participants received their assignments and began working in teams. The next day, they completed their projects, attended a pitching workshop, and presented their results to the jury.
Our team presented a project to create the “Studentor” digital platform, which connects students from teacher training universities with 5th–9th graders. This innovative mentoring format aims to improve collaboration in education by creating new opportunities for learning and cooperation.

“At the hackathon, we learned about various approaches to using digital technologies in education, and we also heard about other interesting projects that offered solutions to improve the educational process, including interactive learning platforms and solutions for distance learning,” commented Viktoria.
“Overall, participating in the hackathon was extremely beneficial. We not only presented our idea and received constructive feedback, but also made new connections and learned a lot. This experience confirmed that collaboration and the exchange of ideas can lead to truly meaningful changes in education!” noted Karina.
We thank the organizers for this opportunity and are proud of our students, who have proven that technology can change the world!
