11 лютого 2026 року відбулася настановча зустріч щодо програми внутрішньої академічної мобільності між Сумським державним педагогічним університетом іменіА.С.Макаренка та Державним податковим університетом в рамках Угоди про співпрацю та академічну мобільність. Для участі у програмі внутрішньої академічної мобільності від СумДПУ були відібрані студенти другого (магістерського) рівня вищої освіти спеціальності Середня освіта (Математика) Соколова Аліна та Шумицька Софія, а від ДПУ – Кітченко Марина та Терменжи Олександр. Координаторами академічної мобільності від СумДПУ є доктор педагогічних наук, професор, зав.кафедри математики, фізики та методик їх навчання Чашечникова О. С., а від ДПУ кандидат фізико-математичних наук, доцент, зав.кафедри вищої математики Ярова О. А. Згідно Програми академічної мобільності студенти будуть опановувати вибіркову компоненту освітньо-професійної програми у закладі установі-партнері як «Наукові основи навчання математики» (ДПУ) та «Наукові основи шкільного курсу математики» (СумДПУ). Під час зустрічі учасники ознайомилися з умовами програми, особливостями дисципліни та перевагами міжуніверситетської співпраці. Академічна мобільність дає змогу розширити освітній досвід, обмінятися методиками та підвищити професійну компетентність майбутніх учителів математики.

On February 11, 2026, an orientation meeting was held regarding the internal academic mobility program between the A. S. Makarenko Sumy State Pedagogical University and the State Tax University within the framework of the Agreement on Cooperation and Academic Mobility. To participate in the internal academic mobility program, Sumy State Pedagogical University selected second-cycle (master’s) students majoring in Secondary Education (Mathematics): Alina Sokolova and Sofia Shumytska; and the State Tax University selected Marina Kitchenko and Oleksandr Termenzhy. The academic mobility coordinators from Sumy State Pedagogical University are O. S. Chashechnikova, Doctor of Pedagogical Sciences, Professor, and Head of the Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Methods of Teaching Them; and from DPU, O. A. Yarova, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences, Associate Professor, and Head of the Department of Higher Mathematics. According to the Academic Mobility Program, students will study elective components of the educational and professional program at the partner institution, namely “Scientific Foundations of Mathematics Education” (DPU) and “Scientific Foundations of the School Mathematics Curriculum” (Sumy State Pedagogical University). During the meeting, participants familiarized themselves with the program’s terms, the specifics of the discipline, and the benefits of inter-university cooperation. Academic mobility allows for expanding educational experience, exchanging teaching methods, and enhancing the professional competence of future mathematics teachers.

9 та 16 грудня 2025 року в рамках договору про співпрацю з Каунаським університетом технологій (Литва) кандидатом фіз.-мат. наук, доцентом кафедри математики, фізики та методик їх навчання Одінцовою О.О. були проведені для литовських вчителів математики майстер-класи щодо організації роботи з математично здібними учнями.

Під час занять було обговорено можливі напрямки роботи такими учнями: від індивідуальних форм до групових, наведено приклади трансформації умов завдань з урахуванням вікових особливостей та наявних в учнів знань з математики. Також розглянуто загальні засади застосування властивостей цілих чисел (парності, подільності, простоти) на прикладах завдань математичних олімпіад різних рівнів.

On December 9 and 16, 2025, as part of a cooperation agreement with Kaunas University of Technology (Lithuania), O.O. Odintsova, Candidate of Physical and Mathematical Sciences and Associate Professor of the Department of Mathematics, Physics, and Methods of Teaching These Subjects, conducted master classes for Lithuanian mathematics teachers on organizing work with mathematically gifted students.

During the sessions, possible approaches to working with such students were discussed, ranging from individual to group formats, and examples were provided of how to adapt problem conditions to account for age-specific characteristics and students’ existing mathematical knowledge. The general principles of applying the properties of integers (evenness, divisibility, primality) were also examined using examples of problems from mathematics competitions at various levels.

Національна академія наук вищої освіти України провела підсумкове засідання конкурсної комісії конкурсу «Краще видання 2025 року».

У номінації «Праці молодих учених» II місце посіла праця представників СумДПУ д.е.н., проф. ОМЕЛЬЯНЕНКА В., д.ф. ОМЕЛЬЯНЕНКО О. та дослідниці НАН України, ст. досл. ПІДОРИЧЕВОЇ І. Публікацію було підготовлено в рамках наукового проєкту молодих вчених МОН України «Організаційно-економічне забезпечення повоєнного сталого розвитку територій на основі інфраструктурно-сервісної методології розвитку інноваційних спільнот», що виконувався у СумДПУ у 2023-2025 рр., та представлено на ХVІ Міжнародному теоретико-методологічному семінарі імені Олега АМОСОВА у 2025 р.

Незважаючи на воєнний стан, проблеми в енергетичній сфері, сигнали повітряної тривоги тощо, цьогоріч на конкурс було представлено 126 праць з різних номінацій.  Такий результат свідчить, що українці – це незламна освічена нація, яка міцно тримає не тільки воєнний, а й освітній, науковий та культурний фронти.

The National Academy of Sciences of Higher Education of Ukraine held the final meeting of the selection committee for the “Best Publication of 2025” competition.

In the “Works by Young Scientists” category, second place was awarded to a work by representatives of Sumy State Pedagogical University: V. Omelianenko, Ph.D. in Economics, Professor, and I. Pidoricheva, Ph.D. O. OMELYANENKO and I. PIDORYCHEVA, Senior Researcher at the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine. The publication was prepared as part of the scientific project for young scientists of the Ministry of Education and Science of Ukraine, “Organizational and Economic Support for Post-War Sustainable Development of Territories Based on Infrastructure -service methodology for the development of innovative communities,” which was carried out at Sumy State Pedagogical University in 2023–2025, and presented at the 16th International Theoretical and Methodological Seminar named after Oleg AMOSOV in 2025.

Despite the martial law, problems in the energy sector, air raid sirens, and other challenges, 126 works in various categories were submitted to the competition this year. This result demonstrates that Ukrainians are an indomitable, educated nation that firmly holds not only the military front but also the educational, scientific, and cultural fronts.

На фізико-математичному факультеті відбулася підсумкова атестація магістрантів спеціальності 014 Середня освіта (Фізика та астрономія), освітня програма Середня освіта (Фізика. Математика), яка пройшла організовано та на високому фаховому рівні.

Підсумкова атестація включала комплексний кваліфікаційний екзамен з математики та методики навчання математики, що проходив у змішаному форматі, а також захист кваліфікаційних робіт з фізики та методики навчання фізики, який було проведено в онлайн-режимі на платформі Zoom.

Магістранти продемонстрували ґрунтовні теоретичні знання, сформовані професійні компетентності, уміння застосовувати науково-методичні підходи у викладанні фізики та математики, а також здатність до аналізу й узагальнення результатів власних педагогічних досліджень.

Ми щиро вдячні стейхолдерам, які брали участь у роботі екзаменаційних  комісій: на екзамені працювала Олександра Миколаївна Деменко, директор Комунальної установи Сумська спеціалізована школи I-III ступенів №7 імені Максима Савченка, вчитель математики, у  захисті кваліфікаційних робіт  -  Анна Петрівна Муха, заступник директора з виховної роботи Сумський заклад загальної середньої освіти I-III ступенів №15 Сумської міської ради, доктор філософії (Середня освіта(фізика)), вчитель фізики.

 Це сприяло забезпеченню прозорості процедури атестації, її практичної спрямованості та відповідності сучасним вимогам підготовки майбутніх учителів фізики та математики.

За результатами підсумкової атестації магістранти підтвердили готовність до професійної діяльності в закладах загальної середньої освіти та успішно завершили навчання за освітньою програмою.

Вітаємо випускників із важливим етапом професійного становлення та бажаємо подальших успіхів у педагогічній і науковій діяльності!

The Faculty of Physics and Mathematics held the final assessment for master’s students majoring in 014 Secondary Education (Physics and Astronomy), under the educational program Secondary Education (Physics and Mathematics), which was conducted in an organized manner and at a high professional level.

The final assessment included a comprehensive qualifying exam in mathematics and mathematics teaching methodology, conducted in a hybrid format, as well as the defense of qualifying theses in physics and physics teaching methodology, which was held online via the Zoom platform.

The master’s students demonstrated solid theoretical knowledge, well-developed professional competencies, the ability to apply scientific and methodological approaches in teaching physics and mathematics, as well as the ability to analyze and generalize the results of their own pedagogical research.

We are sincerely grateful to the stakeholders who participated in the work of the examination committees: Oleksandra Mykolayivna Demenko, director of the Sumy Specialized School No. 7 (Grades 1–3) named after Maksym Savchenko, a municipal institution, and a mathematics teacher, and in the defense of the qualification theses—Anna Petrivna Mukha, Deputy Director for Educational Work at Sumy General Secondary School No. 15 of the Sumy City Council, Doctor of Philosophy (Secondary Education (Physics)), and physics teacher.

This helped ensure the transparency of the certification procedure, its practical focus, and its alignment with modern requirements for training future physics and mathematics teachers.

Based on the results of the final certification, the master’s students confirmed their readiness for professional work in general secondary education institutions and successfully completed their studies under the educational program.

We congratulate the graduates on this important milestone in their professional development and wish them continued success in their teaching and research endeavors!

29 січня 2026 року відбулася гостьова лекція для аспірантів освітньо-наукової програми «Фізика» Інституту прикладної фізики НАН України на тему:

«Від формул до фізичного змісту: як навчати фізиці ефективно».

Лектор – декан Фізико-математичного факультету СумДПУ, кандидат педагогічних наук, професор Каленик Михайло Вікторович.

Лекція була присвячена ключовим питанням сучасної методики викладання фізики та спрямована на формування розуміння принципових відмінностей між науковим і навчальним знанням, а також особливостям сприйняття фізичних ідей студентами. Зокрема були розглянуті питання: когнітивні бар’єри та поширені misconceptions у вивченні фізики; роль експерименту як інструменту формування фізичного мислення, а не лише ілюстрації теоретичних положень; практичний кейс навчання складної фізичної ідеї з поетапним переходом від інтуїтивних уявлень до формалізованого наукового опису.

Особливу увагу було приділено активній взаємодії з аудиторією, прогнозуванню результатів експериментів та обговоренню типових труднощів, з якими стикаються молоді викладачі на початку педагогічної діяльності.

Лекція викликала жвавий інтерес та активне обговорення серед учасників, що підтвердило актуальність порушених питань і практичну значущість методичної підготовки майбутніх викладачів фізики, а також стала корисним майданчиком для обговорення ефективних методів навчання фізики у вищій школі.

On January 29, 2026, a guest lecture was held for graduate students of the “Physics” educational and research program at the Institute of Applied Physics of the National Academy of Sciences of Ukraine on the topic: “From Formulas to Physical Meaning: How to Teach Physics Effectively.”

The lecturer was Mykhailo Kalenyk, Dean of the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics at Sumy State Pedagogical University, Candidate of Pedagogical Sciences, and Professor.

The lecture addressed key issues in modern physics teaching methodology and aimed to foster an understanding of the fundamental differences between scientific and educational knowledge, as well as the peculiarities of students’ perception of physical concepts. In particular, the following issues were addressed: cognitive barriers and common misconceptions in the study of physics; the role of the experiment as a tool for developing physical thinking, rather than merely illustrating theoretical propositions; a practical case study of teaching a complex physical concept with a step-by-step transition from intuitive notions to a formalized scientific description.

Particular attention was paid to active interaction with the audience, predicting experimental results, and discussing typical difficulties faced by young teachers at the beginning of their teaching careers.

The lecture sparked keen interest and lively discussion among participants, confirming the relevance of the issues raised and the practical importance of methodological training for future physics teachers, and also served as a useful platform for discussing effective methods of teaching physics in higher education.

23 грудня 2025 року університетська спільнота Сумського державного педагогічного університету імені А. С. Макаренка об’єдналася великою родиною, щоб відзначити 101-у річницю з Дня заснування alma mater, вшанувати багаті традиції та вагомі здобутки закладу. Понад століття університет формує покоління педагогів, розвиває науковий потенціал та впевнено тримає високу планку якості освіти.

On December 23, 2025, the university community of the A. S. Makarenko Sumy State Pedagogical University came together as one big family to celebrate the 101st anniversary of the founding of their alma mater and to honor the institution’s rich traditions and significant achievements. For over a century, the university has been shaping generations of educators, developing scientific potential, and confidently maintaining high standards of educational quality.

In the context of wartime, the festive event took on special significance. All words of gratitude were directed toward those who daily defend our right to live, work, study, and create.

The university rector, Professor Yuriy LYANNOY, the university’s vice rectors, Deputy Minister of Foreign Affairs of Ukraine Oleksandr MISHCHENKO, Deputy Chairman of the Sumy Regional Council Mykyta BANYA, and Deputy Mayor of Sumy Rymma BYKOVA addressed the staff with heartfelt congratulatory remarks. On January 15, 2026, a long-awaited ceremony took place at Sumy State Pedagogical University named after A.S. Makarenko—our master’s students received their second-level (master’s) higher education diplomas.

The dean of the faculty, Prof. Mykhailo Kalenyk, addressed the graduates with warm words and best wishes, emphasizing the significance of their achievements and their substantial contribution to the development of the scientific community. Faculty members joined in the congratulations: Prof. Olga Chashechnikova, Assoc. Prof. Serhii Petrenko, Assoc. Prof. Alla Saltykova, and Assoc. Prof. Oksana Odintsova. They wished the graduates a bright future and new accomplishments, and emphasized that their years of study at the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics remain the fondest memories of their student life.

З жовтня по листопад 2025 року молодь з України, Молдови, Німеччини, Польщі, Грузії, Норвегії, Словаччини, Франції та Великої Британії взяла участь у Міжнародному конкурсі з комп’ютерної графіки та вебдизайну «CreDiCo».
Основна мета Конкурсу – надання молоді майданчика для демонстрації своїх здібностей та для спілкування у професійній спільноті.
Тематика Конкурсу в цьому році «Кольори моєї мрії» – надихнула учасників створювати неймовірні роботи. Вони представляли свої креативні ідеї, від особистих фантазій і мрій до абстрактних концепцій, що відображають взаємодію людини з чарівним світом і фантастичними істотами.
Конкурс охоплював наступні номінації:
1. Комп'ютерна графіка (растрова, векторна, фотоколаж, 3D)
2. Комп'ютерна анімація
3. Вебдизайн (графічне оформлення, інформаційне наповнення, програмна реалізація)
4. Візуальне програмування

У конкурсі взяли участь 915 учасників в трьох вікових групах: 451 школярів, 114 студентів закладів професійно-технічної освіти та 350 студентів ЗВО. Учасники надіслали понад 880 авторських робіт, які вражали своїм рівнем професійності та креативністю.
Студенти фізико-математичного факультету також долучились до цього Конкурсу та вибороли переможні місця.

From October to November 2025, young people from Ukraine, Moldova, Germany, Poland, Georgia, Norway, Slovakia, France, and the United Kingdom participated in the “CreDiCo” International Competition in Computer Graphics and Web Design.
The main goal of the competition is to provide young people with a platform to showcase their talents and network within the professional community.
This year’s contest theme, “Colors of My Dreams,” inspired participants to create incredible works. They presented their creative ideas, ranging from personal fantasies and dreams to abstract concepts reflecting human interaction with a magical world and fantastical creatures.
The competition included the following categories:
1. Computer graphics (raster, vector, photo collage, 3D)
2. Computer animation
3. Web design (graphic design, content, software implementation)
4. Visual programming

A total of 915 participants took part in the competition across three age groups: 451 high school students, 114 students from vocational and technical schools, and 350 university students. The participants submitted over 880 original works, which impressed with their level of professionalism and creativity.
Students from the Faculty of Physics and Mathematics also joined this competition and won top prizes.
